I never thought I’d be addicted to anything,
But here I am, obsessed with the way you
Word your messages at 2 in the morning
And how you live in your own little world
Most of the time because life is boring.

I never thought I’d grow apart from you,
Just like I never imagined in a thousand years
That I’d go to sleep picturing that smile
That I used to see so often
And how much more you probably smile now
Without me.

I never thought I’d know true loneliness
Until the day you first said that
You were too busy for me,
And all of those times when I was left crying on my bed
Because you were somewhere else
Or because you finally found someone else
To make you smile.
