22 (who?)
I sit here in my empty room, reading all of these hateful comments. I used to think that we were getting better at accepting others. I no longer believe that.

Here I go again. I'm back to posting something pro-LGBTQ. I'm absolutely okay with that. The article on Yahoo that I am reading about is where a celebrity (who is openly gay) is now engaged to his boyfriend. I look through the comments posted.

"just the thought makes me vomit"
"Sick freaks all of them!"
"Seriously ??? gross me out what they do behind doors...sexually sick PERVERTS !"

These are just some of the many, MANY things posted. Some of them are good comments like "You guys look so cute together. Bless you guys and your family." However, most of them are from homophobic Christians posting about how they are going to Hell and how God hates them.

Why can we not accept these individuals? Why can we not understand that they are just like you and me? Why do we hate them? Is it because they are different? Is it because we don't understand their lifestyle?

There is nothing wrong with them . They are not idiots, not perverts. They are not disgusting creatures who have no soul.

They are humans. Just like you and me
That is the article...
I would just like to congratulate these 2 men for their engagement.

I have no faith in humanity anymore.

I thought we were just starting to accept gay people, but we aren't apparently...

Anyways, as previously stated "I am not gay, but homophobic comments WILL piss me off. So will racist comments. Or any comment that is offensive to a group of people."
ALSO, I know it's short and stuff, but I've been reading ALL day and I'm very, very tired..

Comments are welcome, as always.

This made me cry literally! I hate to think that people still say things like this, even though I know they do......
"Seriously ??? gross me out what they do behind doors...sexually sick PERVERTS !"
How exactly does it make a difference between gay people and straight people what they "do in the bedroom"? I simply don't get it.
And don't think that all Christians think like that. I'm Christian and my family has no issue with even seeing a gay person kissing their gf or bf. And some Christians, believe it or not, are gay! What ever happened to Christians loving everyone? Is this gone now??? :'(

Don't lose your faith in humanity just yet. Personally, I think that people are just blending in with the majority of the homophobic crowd. Maybe once enough people 'come out', they will change their minds. Until then, maybe the majority of people aren't accepting them, but this is slowly changing.

I KNEW the couple was gonna be Neil and David before I even clicked the link, LUV THEM 4EVER!! :D

I must say, you are probably one of the strongest fighters against homophobia that I've seen on this site, and I love you for it: I'm gay myself, and homophobic comments on YouTube piss me off too sometimes, so it's always nice to see someone making a stand against ignorant bigots who can't understand that every decent human being deserves equality and liberty.
Once again, THANK YOU!!!

Humans are homosapiens.
Some humans are homophobes.

Does this mean they fear themselves?...

Aww, thanks (:
And you're welcome~

I have a few bi/gay friends, and so when someone says something homophobic, I feel like they are directly attacking my friends. I always stand up for gay rights/marriage/other stuff. (:

But yeah. No one deserves to feel upset, alienated, or afraid just because of who they are. I hope that the world will come to accept gay people. We went through this with women's rights and black people. We had to fight a lot before they got to vote and were treated as equals, but eventually most of the population accepted them. We are sadly always going to have a few people who are racists or homophobes, but what can you do? :(

Key words: behind closed doors. How does something you can't physically see - despite mentally picturing whatever you may think goes on between two homosexuals - affect you in any way?

God/Jesus is supposed to symbolize peace and love. Actually, Christianity as a whole is. Despite the fact the Bible states something about homosexuality being an abomination, does God/Jesus ever say it personally? No, Jesus actually healed a homosexual man without comment on his sexuality or if he is going to Hell or not. This is what I have gathered from research...

What people don't understand is that it isn't hard to picture the lifestyle of a homosexual person. We feel just like any other person when they're in love, it's just we're physically (and usually mentally too) attracted to the same gender. Which doesn't affect anything, really.

Yes, everybody has a right to be treated fairly. :D Great little piece you posted right here... Thank you for doing so.

this comment made my day.

I feel as if no true hearted Christian would be hateful <3
I love all of my god's creations.

And really. Extremists annoy the crap out of me.
